I've given up trying to troubleshoot this device. I believe the firmware is just not fully baked. Besides the random shutdown behavior, the unit will also randomly disconnect from the TV; suddenly it just stops playing and the TV speakers come on. I'm generally a fan of Roku streaming sticks, but the Streambar seems buggy and inconsistent. I would never buy one again.
