Roku Stick for old Roku TV TCL please help
Hey everyone. I was searching through site to see if I can get an answer to my question. I think I might know the answer but I wanted to make sure before I buy one. I have a pretty old TCL Roku 55’ TV from probably 2019 or before. Definitely not newer than 2019 for sure. As we all know, they get super slow over time and a lot of the apps like Max or even Netflix struggle on my tv. Would getting a Roku stick help with that since it won’t run directly from the tv? Thanks and any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Roku Stick for old Roku TV TCL please help
Yes, it would help. Just set up the TV to power on to the stick's HDMI input (under Settings->System->Power) and for the most part you won't even need the TV's remote if you mostly stream. You can set up the stick's remote to control power and volume of the TV. You'll still need the TV's remote to adjust things like picture settings and if you watch antenna TV stations. I always recommend to set the Theme/Wallpaper of the TV and the stick to be different so you know which one you're looking at when you're on a Home Screen.
