Received Broken in Shipment
I bought a Roku 50" class Select Series #50R4A5R from Walmart as a birthday gift. When the recipient opened it, the screen was broken. Walmart refuses to help as it’s outside the return window. Allstate Square Trade won’t cover it because it’s still under the one year warranty. FedEx denied the claim because it is outside the time frame to report damage. Everyone tells me to contact Roku. I have a cracked screen tv here that has never even been plugged in. It seems unfair that I am the one left with nothing. Can a broken screen be repaired? I had this on a payment plan as I couldn’t afford it outright. Once it was paid off I gave it as a gift. Now I am just out the $268. Was purchased in May and not opened until October. The carton looked fine. Once we saw the top of the screen through the plastic it was obviously broken. Now I don’t know what to do.
