Problem with channel guide. Antenna TV

Jump to solution

I've had an antenna TV hooked up to my Roku TV for quite some time. Even though all my information doesn't always populate on the channel guide when I first turn on the TV, I can manually retrieve it. As of yesterday I can't retrieve the info for Fox 2 or KMOV (St Louis, Mo). The numbers show on the guide but no info. I have scanned multiple times & live streaming is turned off. My smart TV in the bedroom is fine, so it's not a problem with those stations. Never did this before now.

Hi @Raven2015,

Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!

We appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have taken so far and will be glad to assist you further.

You may be able to receive free “over-the-air” TV broadcasts from nearby TV stations, depending on where you live, using an HDTV antenna. The placement of your HDTV antenna can affect which TV stations you can receive and the quality of the signal. You can refer to the webpage Antenna Web for more information on accessing broadcast TV in your area.

Hope you'll find this info useful.

Best,

I'm getting the channels, they just aren't populating any information on the channel guide. Apparently it isn't an antenna issue but a Roku issue. My other TV worked fine with the same antenna. It's only 2 local stations with no info. It doesn't help to continue scanning repeatedly.

I'm having the exact same problem. Started a couple of weeks ago. Off-Air channels numbers in the guide show just fine but the is no program information. Just says "No Information" across all channels. Using the "OK" button on the scroll section will bring up an info screen. If you go to the "Home Screen" and then return to the "Antenna" or "Live TV" screen the channel information will appear in list across all channels for a short time; Usually about five or ten minutes. I've had this TV since last November and it has always worked fine. I've tried just about everything to resolve the issue up to and including a hard factory reset without result. Not sure I'd expect much help from Roku using this format for technical support though.

Their last response was to send a picture or video. Of what I have no idea. I've already explained the issue & what I've done in detail. It's the Roku TV period. My other TV, not a Roku & also hooked up to an indoor antenna doesn't have any issues. They're clueless.

That's why I think trying to resolve this issue through an online forum is a waste of time. They are just going to rattle off a lot of unrelated nonsense like "check antennaweb.com". I'm thinking it must have been caused by some sort of software upgrade. I sure hope we can fine a solution soon because this channel guide is pretty much useless for me now as I primarily use an off air antenna only. That's why I ended up with a Roku TV because I wanted the dumbest "smart tv" I could find. Mine is still under warranty so I may have to go that route. I can only imagine what kind of nightmare that's going to be.

  • Definitely a waste of time. My daughter bought the TV as a Xmas present a year ago so at least it didn't cost me anything.

I second this issue that recently began behaving this way. I have to go to the Home screen then back to the TV in order for the OTA & Live TV channel information to populate.

Roku must have updated/added something that had affected the Roku TV in this manner.

Mine as well. Started when the recent channels started popping up at the top so there was some sort of update. They come back for a short period of time when rescanning but I am not doing that every time I turn on the TV.
