Why is the subwoofer quieter than the speakers? I'm almost tempted to return it. Rokuneeds to update their software to adjust each speaker individually and be able to add more than 2 speakers.

We appreciate you contacting us regarding the poor bass output issue with your Roku Subwoofer. We are happy to help.

The Roku subwoofer produces low-bass sounds, while your other audio devices produce middle and high-pitched sounds. Low bass is more difficult to pinpoint in terms of direction compared to higher sounds, so it's important to ensure the best placement for your subwoofer.

That said, you do need to install your Roku subwoofer within 30 feet of a Roku host audio device such as your Roku Streambar, Roku Streambar Pro, Roku Smart Soundbar, or Roku TV (when Roku wireless speakers or Roku TV Wireless Soundbar are connected).
