Hello. I'm older and relatively new to tech.
I was given a Roku Premier+, and they hooked it up for me. I'm wondering what to upgrade to where I can keep my Amazon Prime. I heard that newer Rokus arnt compatible with Prime...? Is this true? I love my Prime Video. Can someone please recommend which Roku I should upgrade to, where I won't lose my Prime Video? Can I have someone from Roku come to hook it up for me? If not, why and who then?
Thank u in advance, for your answers.
I don't know where you heard new Roku devices aren't compatible with Prime, but that's wrong. There's probably some older devices that aren't compatible. It's always best when asking for help to give the model number and not the name since Roku uses names over and over again on completely different models. You can find it written on the device or displayed under Settings->System->About on your Roku device.
You might want to start here:

Since someone else hooked it up, we need to know if they set up a Roku account for you using your email address. You can see the email address displayed in the same place as the model number (Settings->System->About). If you can log in at https://my.roku.com using that email address (hopefully they gave you the password), then you have control of the account. If not, that's the first thing that should be fixed.
Roku won't come and hook up a new device for you. They're far to inexpensive to offer that kind of service. Best Buy's Geek Squad may, but I'm not sure. It's easy enough to do that you really shouldn't need any help. Just ask any questions you have here.

I can find no listing on Amazon re which Roku models Amazon has written their Prime Video Roku channel app to run on. However, Amazon announced in emails to Roku owners that, effective November 1, 2021, their Prime Video would no longer support the following older Roku model numbers:
Roku 2 HD/XD/XS models 2050X, 2500X, 2720X, 3000X, 3050X, 3100X
Roku LT models 2400X, 2450X, 2700X
Roku SE model 2710X
Roku Streaming Stick models 3400X, 3420X, 3500X
(The Xs or other letters at the end of the model number are distribution codes and are irrelevant for this issue.)
I'm unaware of any similar announcement from Amazon since then, so I would assume all newer devices than the ones mentioned, including any of the Premiere models, will be compatible with Amazon Prime.
You can find your Roku model number via Roku menu path Settings / System / About
