I was playing my switch docked into my Roku tv, when all the sudden it got vertical lines like it had been broken by something, even though absolutely nothing happened. I’m honestly at a loss because I literally got this tv earlier today. I just need to know if the screen is actually broken or just a visual glitch.

Have you tried contacting the TV manufacturer to inquire further? I'd suggest starting there to see what options or suggestions they can provide. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS.
