Hook the Xfinity cable box to a Roku TV (Hisense G20506N) and sound to a Pioneer Elite receiver.

I am looking for the proper way to hook the Xfinity cable box to a Roku TV (Hisense G20506N) to a Pioneer Elite VSX-LX303 receiver sound only. My volume level is between 40 and 50 for regular listening; the display level seems a bit high. So, I am questioning the way I have the system hooked up.

I am trying to get the cable so it is independent, the Roku TV to be independent, and the sound for either is coming from the Pioneer Elite receiver. I understand that the cable uses Roku TV to display the picture, and the sound comes from the receiver. If I turn off the cable box, use the Roku remote, and turn on the TV, I should be able to see what programs are being offered, and sound should be coming from the receiver. How can this be accomplished using the proper hook-up? I am 70 now, and things have sure changed over the years!
