Hdmi splitter not working on bigger TVs

I had two 32” Roku TVs plugged into an hdmi splitter. The TVs were only a few feet from each other so the splitter helped produce simultaneous viewing without a delay. A Roku Ultra was feeding the two TVs from the splitter and everything worked fine. I recently upgraded the TVs to 40” and now it doesn’t work. The new TVs are identical to the 32”, just bigger. They are the same Roku brand and all the wiring remains unchanged. Connections are plugged into appropriate ports. The new TVs have identified that a Roku is plugged into the input but it reads “no signal” when I select the input on each TV. My question is, do I need a more powerful splitter for bigger TVs or are the TVs themselves blocking the signal?
