Force navigating to apps I don’t have

Hi my Roku TV has almost always had this glitch where, when navigating either in an app or watching a service, I’ll suddenly be forced either to the rdio app or vudu. Thing is, I’ve never had either app. This happens almost randomly and happens when I’m watching something or trying to navigate to an app. I’m at my wits end! I’ve gotten a new remote and have done a factory reset on the tv but there’s still nothing I can do to stop this from happening. The tv is almost unusable now because my streaming will be randomly interrupted and forced to this other channel unless it’s like Netflix or Hulu that ask if you really want to exit. Any help would be appreciated.

We are sorry to hear about the issue you reported and want to let you know that this is not the normal experience we expect from our products.

We would be more than happy to look further into this issue, but will need more detailed information. Can you please provide us the following information:

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  • does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
  • tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times and provide us with this ID)
  • steps to reproduce the issue

Once we have this information, we will be able to pass it along to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further. Please keep us posted on what you find out, and we will be more than happy to continue assisting you further. We look forward to hearing back from you.
