Cable channel memory lost

Once I scan the cable channel (3) I can view cable. However when the tv is turned off the channel 3 is gone from the live tv list. Tried saving as a favorite but it disappeared too.

Re: Cable channel memory lost

This isn't really an answer to your question, but I assume you're using a cable box connected to your TV with a coax cable (round cable screwed into the back of the TV)?  If so, see if there's an HDMI output on the cable box.  You will get a much better picture using an HDMI cable and you won't have to worry about channel 3.

Re: Cable channel memory lost

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately my  Xfinity cable box is “analog” with only a standard co-ax connection. Xfinity mandates their box to receive signal. This is a 24” ONN Roku tv for the kitchen. Just installed it and it will not retain the cable channel. I have to rescan inputs every time I turn it on. Something wrong with the software it appears.
