9102CA STREAMBAR intermittent sound

Serial # YL000V898540

Have tried unplugging, new cable and a factory reset. 

Sound will be crackling after the device becomes warm. Then sound will intermittently cutout. If I cycle back out to the main menu, select another program and go back- sound will miraculously return. 

There are no "sound" settings with this and has hardly been used. (Has been in spare room).

Advice on fixes?
