I searched for war of the worlds w Tom cruise with my middle aged son and it went to freebietv channel and played something with nudity within the first 20 seconds! Completely unacceptable!

You have to be careful with the Roku search, especially with a common title like that. It's not unusual for different movies to get mixed up. From other search services like Reelgood and JustWatch, Paramount+ is the only streaming, outside of buy/rent services.

Never heard of FreebieTV.

Risked it and tried to play it. After 4 pre-roll ads, the last ad kept playing in a box in the upper-left when the movie started. The version they have is from "The Asylum", which is a small, independent, movie company. From info on Wikipedia, it originally aired on Sci-Fi Network (now known as SyFy), so it maybe PG13 at most.
