The Roku app on my android cell phone

Jump to solution

The Roku app on my android phone doesn't see I'm on cellular and is looking for a wifi connection. How do I change this. It also says YouTube channel is installed. How do I access it. Is the app only using my tv settings? Thanks.

A warm welcome here at the Roku Community, @Exchange!

Rest assured that we will find the best resolution to your Roku mobile app issues.

May we first know what Roku streaming device you are having this issue with? Please be aware that the Roku streaming device, as well as your mobile phone, are connected to the same network in order to effectively utilize this. For further details about the Roku mobile app, refer to our Support article.

Furthermore, kindly try to search for the YouTube channel on your Home screen by scrolling down on your channel lineup or add it directly on your TV by selecting Store, Select channels, then look for the YouTube app, then press OK. After doing so, there should be an option to Add channel.

Please keep us posted on how it goes, and we'll go from there. We'll be anticipating your response!

Kind regards,
Carly
