Roku and Brit Box Sign-in Issue
When I tried to watch Brit Box, I was notified that I needed to sign-in (I am signed in to Brit Box on my computer) so I clicked on Sign-in, but when the new screen came up and I clicked on Sign-in (to Brit Box) the Roku sign-in came up but it won't take my password and continues to say it is incorrect. I can watch our other streaming service without a problem (Acorn, PBS, etc.).

Re: Britbox not recognizing any of my sign in info
Were you able to ever get in? I just signed up for Britbox and same thing - it shows my email but when enter the password it refuses to recognize it. I then changed my password for Roku and tried again. Still doesn't work. Ready to cancel and try it on Prime.

Re: Roku and Brit Box Sign-in Issue
Are you using the proper credentials? You should be using whatever email address and password you've established with BritBox and not your Roku account email and password.

Re: Roku and Brit Box Sign-in Issue
I tried to sign in with both Roku email and password and Brit Box email and password. Neither is accepted. I have had uninterupted service for 2 years.

Re: Roku and Brit Box Sign-in Issue
Are you located in US and subscribe/pay directly to Britbox? If so, go to the Britbox website https://www.britbox.com/us/ and try to sign-in there.
It is possible you might need to change your password if you haven't in awhile. Sometimes just selecting "forgot password" or "reset password" is all that is needed. (some services just lock you out with no message that a password reset is needed).

Re: Roku and Brit Box Sign-in Issue
What do you mean by proper credentials?
Roku is accepting my money - not Britbox?
This is stupid and unhelpful.

Re: Roku and Brit Box Sign-in Issue
Rather than responding that one's advice is stupid and unhelpful, perhaps just ask for clarification since the confusion is on your end..
In this case, someone who understands the Roku platform far better than you was verifying/inquiring that the proper credentials (user name and password) was being entered by the user.
There is more than one way to get Britbox on Roku. If you pay for "Britbox on the Roku Channel" (pay Roku), you will have different login credentials than if you ordered Britbox directly from Britbox (pay Britbox), or if you subscribed to Britbox through Prime Video. (pay Amazon Prime and use Prime credentials).

Re: Roku and Brit Box Sign-in Issue
If I sign up for Britbox via Roku, I expect my Roku userid and password to work with Britbox. Just as every other streaming channel does. I have the same problem. I can watch it on my Roku devices. But its a no-go on any PC, laptop, or mobile device.
The consensus seems to be that Britbox isn't playing by the same rule that every other streaming service does when it comes to the use of Roku login credentials.

Re: Roku and Brit Box Sign-in Issue
Generally, if you want to use a subscription across different devices and platforms, you need to sign up with the provider directly. (ie. Britbox).
I have used Britbox in a couple of ways. (I only watch on Roku devices, but just look for the best deal/subscription price).
I have subscribed directly with Britbox (and then used the standalone Britbox app) on my Roku. I have also subscribed to "Britbox through Amazon Prime". When I did that, I had to install Prime Video on my Roku in order to view it. (I could also install Prime on any other device, like a tablet or other non-Roku streaming device and then also watch Britbox there if I wanted to).
As a general rule though, any subscription purchased "on the Roku Channel" will need to be viewed on/limited to a Roku device (or if eligible, through the Roku mobile app).

Re: Roku and Brit Box Sign-in Issue
Requiring a periodic password reset is universally agreed to be useless for security. It's nothing but a royal pain in the arse.
