(This is ridiculously unhelpful UX design).
I couldn't agree more and I've been trying to get Roku to change it for some time.
Try using the official Roku remote app on an Android/iOS phone/tablet connected to one of the Rokus on your account. At the bottom of the first screen, click Search and do a search for the installed channel name. On the resulting screen you should get options to Launch the channel on your Roku, or Remove the channel. I've never tried to remove a subscribed-thru-Roku channel (I haven't had any for years) but some have said this works even while the subscription is still active.
The inability to remove a channel that needs to be reinstalled while it is under an active subscription is one of the reasons I'll never again subscribe to a channel through Roku. Now any subscription I make is done directly on the channel's website. This way I can also use the channel's own app on any platform they support, not just Roku.
