I have some success to report. highlighting Newsmax on Roku home screen and pressing * as Donna suggests does eventually bring a Roku screen asking for username and password. Entered it again, and eventually Newsmax+ sometimes allows me to watch programs. Rather than switching to another Roku channel as Donna suggests it seems to help to slowly back out using the back arrow. Just casually changing channels like it's 2023 might require doing the whole log in malarkey again.

@Lpool Are you sure that you signed up for your subscription initially through the Newsmax site? Or did you register on your ROKU? If later, than get a refund from ROKU and sign up on the site

I experienced the exact same issue at my home and on my phone. Horrible roll-out of what has been my 'go to' news channel/source.
And why can't we talk to someone to resolve this issue?
I personally have had a callback from Newsmax twice. Just call 800.485.4350. Rather than wait online, ask for a callback.
Nothing works in Roku to get Newsmax back on my TV. It doesn’t even recognize my email address!!!!
Nothing is working to get Newsmax back on. And nothing that Newsmax was doing was offending me, the customer. Don’t kick them off of my TV. I have to figure out a work around, because when trying to get back in to Newsmax on my Roku TV, I keep getting error codes and it won’t recognize my email address, but Roku sends me emails and sure charges me every month. Arrrgh!
I never had a problem watching it when it was free now that I have to pay for it I can't watch it it doesn't work. It keeps coming up and saying that I need to pay a yearly subscription. I paid the monthly subscription. If this is not fixed in a timely manner I will never watch it again
Still logging me out of app. If you signed up on Roku you wont have log in information that will be recognized by Newsmax to sign in on computers or phones.
newsmax DOES NOT respond to emails or answer the phone and as you know customer support for Roku is nonexisting.
A solution for the Newsmax Plus login not being sticky I have confirmed works.
A confirmed Solution for Newsmax plus login not being sticky is being
tested and is working so far for me. In options to login will be shown
selections to login using your email for usual Roku login or to use
a different email. So select the option to *use a different email*
but then enter the email used for your Newsmax plus subscription
and fill in the password associated with your Newsmax plus subscription.
So far for the brief time of testing I have done this makes the login
sticky. It is not prompting for login after closing the app and/or
returning to the Home menu thumbnails and using another app
like Amazon Prime, not prompting for another login. If it does
prompt for another login I am hopeful it will return to the option
to login using the default email login for Roku, but again choose
the use a different email to get the saved password for the
alternate email. In my case it is the same email as for Roku.
but of course the Newsmax plus app password is different.
I am hopeful this is the fix for the non-sticky password issue.
This solution is tested and is confirmed to work
