I am having the same difficulty. YT worked fine until two days ago. Then trying to load just kicks me back to my Roku home screen. I have tried updating both my TV and YT. I've uninstalled YT, unplugged my TV for 30 seconds..... even did a factory reset. YT will show loading screen then kick my to the Roku home screen. The YT app says it was updated 9.13.2021.
I have tried EVERYTHING that was suggested in this forum and in researching YouTube videos on fixing this issue. Since nothing worked, I'd have to assume that the problem is at Roku's end and only a fix from them will resolve that. My patience is running low and I am looking at alternatives to Roku which I will decide on no later than tomorrow. If anybody has suggestions, please let me know. Thanks. Sib
I too have been having issues with Youtube launching. It's been two days now, and I have tried all the suggestions. I have even submitted it to Roku, nothing. This is getting rather annoying.
Nothing I have done has worked for me. I assume this is to stop access to the YouTube TV option on YouTube. I use that streaming service and have for years. I am going to try to access both via Firestick until I can get rid of my Roku products.
