OK YOU DETECTIVES. HAS ANYONE FOUND CINEMABOX WITH ANOTHER NAME? SURELY THEY MUST BE BACK BY NOW.
Try CLASSICO ... it literally just showed up today, with same content, search within the app, search finds content fromn ROKU Home Page too ...
YOU...ARE A BEAUTIFUL SOUL NORTHSHORMAN. THANKS SO MUCH...OH AND ROKU CAN EAT SOMETHING BAD.
And don't be surprised when it disappears in a few days or weeks.
andyross, they've been restored to Roku device. Cinema Box has morphed to a new channel name of Classico. Movieland TV is still the same channel name. I've been careful to type about these 2 channels in the Facebook Roku groups. There have been a lot of witch hunting reactions from group members towards Classico and Movieland TV channels. Claims that these 2 channels are pirating copyrighted movies. But there are plenty of other channels on Roku device that pirate movies as well is my response. I enjoy Classico and Movieland TV channels and always will despite a majority of channel haters. For some unknown, but fortunate reason Classico and Movieland TV channels keep coming back every year, and its a good thing in my viewing eyes opinion.
I agree DL17, if the availability of these movies on any service upsets someone, they should live and let live, nobody on this forum is violating any copyright laws. In fact, NOBODY has ever presented ANY EVIDENCE that MovielandTV, CinemaBox, CLASSICO, or by any other name, has broken any laws. If they complain, they should quit the forum until they have some PROOF! Either that, or enjoy the show.
There's an update, several weeks ago, Classico was decommissioned. MovielandTV remained ... same content, no search ability. Just a few days ago, it too disappeared. The good news is that Cinema Box has been re-added ... with a different set of functionality ... on the Home Page, there is no "Recently Added" category, but organization tags are available for "Drama", "Crime", "Adventure" ... etc. On the Home Page, you can navigate left using the Directional Pad ... the (UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT):
https://community.roku.com/t5/Remotes/What-do-the-buttons-do-on-the-remote/td-p/836147
... by navigating LEFT to a menu where there is a Search selection which takes you to the same type of search in Classico. I certainly haven't determined if all the movies from prior versions of MovielandTV and Classico are there, but they sure look to be. I paged through quite a bit, looks like the full boat of content so far. The other menu items (Tags, Series, Movies ... ) don't seem to do much. No one has arrested me yet for continuing to view this content, so I'll keep enjoying the show ... as I hope others will!
