I am trying to put a Criterion shortcut on the Home page list of apps and cannot do it. I have an active subscription and it was on the Home page a week ago. Had trouble with the app and reloaded it after removing it, but when I did I could not get it back. This is both on a Roku 3 and a Roku streaming stick.
Had to remove my Criterion app from my Roku 3 and reload it to get it to work. When I did, I lost the shortcut on the home screen. Nothing I've tried has brought it back. I even tried to remove and reinstall the app from my Roku stick, as I was promised it would synch. That didn't work and now I have neither app on either device.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
There seems to be a bug/glitch that is preventing some users from seeing some of their installed channels/apps of the Home Screen. (basically invisible).
Using your Roku remote, press Home 3x, Up 2x, then Left, Right, Left, Right, Left. (this will launch a Channel Information Screen with a list of installed channels).
Scroll down and remove the affected channel/app from this list. Then restart your Roku device. Search for the channel from the device Search (not the online Streaming Store), and reinstall it.
Should now be visible on the Home Screen.
Addressed in your other posting. https://community.roku.com/t5/Community-discussions/Cannot-set-a-shortcut-to-Criterion-channel-on-Ho...
thank you but the issue is that it isn't on the home screen, so I cannot remove it. If I hold down the search button and say "criterion" it comes up. But the app itself has disappeared. I am also on a roku 3 from 2015.
I understand that it is not on the Home Screen. It actually is there, but is invisible.
Perform the steps outlined below using the Roku remote sequence. This will take you to a Channel Information Screen that will allow you to remove the channel so that you can reinstall it in a manner that will again make it visible.
Re-read the previous post and follow the procedure outlined in it.
This proposed solution did not work, not in the least. I finally was able to resolve the problem by doing a factory reset and starting from the beginning. This is not a great solution for a relatively minor problem. I do believe this was caused by sloppily programmed Roku updates. Guys, if this is the only thing you can do to fix Roku-induced bugs, it will push folks to other platforms.
