Apple TV+ App Installed But Not Showing Up

Jump to solution

I just started my three month free Apple TV+ trial on my brand new Roku Streambar SE, and the Apple TV app is not in my list of Apps. I go to add it and it does not give me that option. I think it thinks I have the App already installed, but yet it doesn't show in my installed apps.  The only way I can watch Apple TV on my new Roku is to search for it, then select it in the result. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

There are some channels/apps that are not showing up on the Home Screen when installed from the online Streaming Store. (I think just a little bug or account syncing issue).  You can try removing it, then perform a Search for it from the device to install it. (should show up on Home Screen with this method).

To Remove the channel from your device (since you can't see it), using your Roku remote, press Home 3x, Up 2x, then left, right, left, right, left.  Scroll down the list and see if you find AppleTV, then select "Remove".

I would then perform a System Restart to clear out any corruption before installing it again from the Search feature on the device. (Settings/System/Power/System Restart).

Heh!  Stupid me!  Although I'm glad to have learned how to delete an App that isn't showing up, there is actually a button on the remote for Apple TV+.
