7 character code requested before I can view a program, where to enter?

I found a network I wanted "UNIVISION" and can get a list of shows.  However whatever show I pick then generates screen with 7 character (alpha/numberic) code I'm supposed to do what with?  Where do I go on the TV screen/my Roku account/cable to enter this code to continue?  Anybody know?

Re: 7 character code requested before I can view a program, where to enter?

@SanchoPanza

There are two Univision apps in the Roku Channel Store for USA.

Univision requires authentication against a TV provider. That is, you must have a subscription to a service (cable, satellite, streaming) that includes Univision.

Univision Now seems to be a standalone service, similar to Starz, Showtime, etc. You subscribe to the service and enter your credentials.

So, which app are you using? Or are you using something completely different?

Re: 7 character code requested before I can view a program, where to enter?

@SanchoPanza

I installed both Univision for testing. (Ultra 4660x, United States)

Univision did not ask me for any codes and played content normally under both "Explore" and "Shows".  I do not have any cable or satellite subscriptions so not exactly sure why description mentions that cable or satellite is required, unless provides users to additional content.

However, from this website (https://sycamorenet.com/streaming/activate-univision-tv/), indicates you have to activate your subscription between Univision and Roku.  (Looks like you have to go to https://tv.univision.com/devicereg on a laptop to complete activation with a TV provider.

  1. On your Roku remote, press the Home button.
  2. Select Streaming Channels by scrolling up or down.
  3. Navigate to the Channel Store.
  4. Enter Univision.
  5. Choose a channel.
  6. Click OK.
  7. To install the application, click Add Channel.
  8. Launch the app after it has been installed.
  9. After you’ve opened the channel, go to the settings page and click SIGN IN.
  10. A 6-digit code will be displayed.
  11. Stay on the page and use your phone or computer to go to tv.univision.com/devicereg.
  12. Enter the registration code that appeared on your TV screen.
  13. From the dropdown menu, select your TV provider.
  14. Continue should be selected.
  15. The page will redirect to the login page for your TV provider.
  16. Enter the username and password for your TV provider.
