Solar Panel for Outdoor Floodlight Camera SE

OK so I got this camera and my landlady have been sick for a while and she just got around to getting her maintenance guy to install it but it’s gonna cost $125 in supplies just to get the conduit ran to the other side of the building, where I was gonna put this over a parking lot… it’s for my own system, she doesn’t need one camera so she’s OK with the way it is, but I just want a piece of mind to make sure nobody’s messing with my car blocking the driveway which tends to happen one of our neighbors when they have friends over. I don’t know why they do but anyway is to protect the property and protect my property that’s parked over there. However it is wired and I didn’t know that when I purchased it and now it just passed 90 days to return it to Walmart and I can’t do anything about it other than install it which is gonna cost the same amount that the camera cost to run everything to make it work I don’t have that money so I’m looking for a solar option that’s inexpensive that I can put in place preferably put up a junction box around electrical junction box attach it to and at one of the openings take the screw out of it. Add a little bit of conduit goes to a solar panel that will take care of all the energy requirement so that way we don’t need the round. Regular boxes is very easy getting very expensive. I know where to get it from, however the solar panels where I got the question do you guys make one or is there one that is adaptable for this or do I need to buy one cut off the end of the wires going to the solar panel and slicing it with the wires that go to the camera is this doable or is this a bad idea? Do you have a product for this or an applicable product that will handle this? I have no other option I really have no other option whatsoever… Can’t even bring it back right now so… anything constructive would be greatly appreciated

Re: Solar Panel for Outdoor Floodlight Camera SE

The Floodlight Camera requires 120VAC.  You'd need some kind of a 120V battery backup and a solar panel that can charge it which is kind of unreasonable and probably more costly than running the conduit.  Other than abandoning the Floodlight Camera and using a wireless camera with the solar panel, running the conduit is probably the best option.  There really isn't any kind of solar option for the Floodlight Camera.
