Roku wireless outdoor SE USB charging Cable
Hello. I got a couple USB cables mixed up moving my cameras. Is the USB charging cable for the Roku outdoor wireless camera the cable that is 5 volts and 2 amps?
Hi FPayne,
Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!
We would be more than willing to provide you with further details on what to do if your Outdoor Camera (Battery) won't charge.
If you're Outdoor Camera (Battery) is not charging you need to follow the troubleshooting steps below:
- Make sure that the Roku Outdoor Camera (Battery) is plugged in directly into the Roku Base Station.
- Try using a different charging cable if you have one available. (Micro USB plug type)
- If you are using a good charger and charging from the base station or provided adapter, but the Roku Outdoor Camera (Battery) still does not flash red, we would like to know if this has happened since first receiving the device or after a period of time.
- If the Roku Outdoor Camera (Battery) does flash red when connected to a charging cable but the battery level still shows 0% in the app, this is likely not a hardware defect. Try re-pairing the Roku Outdoor Camera (Battery) with the Base Station. How to set up your Roku Outdoor Camera SE
- If it has already been set up successfully, make sure the camera has the latest firmware installed.
- Manually switch the camera on/off using the power switch on the back of the camera.
- If this happened after a period of time please provide us the Log ID of the Roku Smart Home app
- In the Roku Smart Home app, tap Account > Roku Support > Submit a Log.
- Choose the Outdoor Camera > Battery Performance.
- Next, fill out the details, and ensure the Send log files are checked, then tap Submit.
- The Mac ID of the camera can be located at the bottom of the camera.
We hope these troubleshooting steps process will help you to resolve the issue. We look forward to your response.
Regards,
Riamie
