Detection and notification glitch

I have 2 of the indoor cams. The problem I'm having is when you disable the recording function it automatically disables notifications. So now I have to record everything all the time to get notifications 🙄.  Anyone else have this problem?

This is a photo after I turn off recording notice the motion is not highlighted and is not working.
