Greetings @Photoguy57

Welcome to the Roku Community and thanks for posting regarding your inquiry with using a Roku Smart Home Camera.

Automatic event recording can be turned off by tapping on the desired camera in the Roku Smart Home app. Once on the camera tap the gear icon in upper right corner. In the camera setting screen tap "Event Recordings" and uncheck record motion events. This will stop recording all motion events automatically. You will still be able to view the livestream and record manually from the livestream page. If you wish to also disable notifications that can be done from the camera settings screen as well by clicking "Notifications" and flipping the switch on the "Send Notifications" option at the top.
Please note that this will have to be done for each camera you wish to not record. If you would like to have the camera only record during certain times of day please follow the steps in this support article: Use rules to automate your smart home devices

We hope this provides clarification. If you have any other inquiries in the future, please don't hesitate posting in the Roku Community again.

Thanks,
Danny
