If I purchase a Roku streaming device will I have to pay Roku for maintaining and using my pre-existing Netflix account?

No.  Just install the Netflix channel/app from the Roku Channel Store to your Roku device and continue to pay Netflix as you did before. (no extra charges).

After you install Netflix on your Roku device, just use the same login and password that you have previously on your other devices when you used Netflix.

There is no charge to use Roku.  The only time you would pay Roku is if you purchase a subscription "through" Roku.  For most channels/apps, you can choose to pay the provider directly, or consolidate your subscriptions through Roku. (in this manner, you pay Roku; Roku pays the providers).

I think most users prefer to subscribe and pay the provider directly. (this way, you can use your subscription on both Roku and non-Roku devices).
