Voice Remote quits responding repeatedly

This voice remote, I guess its named a remote pro or something just quits working.  I have discovered that the tv itself and its failure to stay connected to the internet is the issue.  Roku makes this thing so that it wont function as a voice remote unless its connected to the internet.  So the voice half fails without being tethered to the internet and now privacy issues arise . For some reason the wifi locks up and has to constantly be reset and when ever it gets like that the blue tooth side of this remote will also lockup.  Its not the users fault, its the design of the product, the remote and the tv as well as the wifi and bluetooth that all fails here in the Roku experience.
