Use quick launch button to turn on roku and go directly to app

I really thought at one point I could press one of the four quick launch buttons on the Roku remote (Hulu, Netflix, etc.) and it would turn on the Roku stick as well as then go directly to that app. ...

    llrok43-

    Enable "1-touch play" via Roku menu path "Settings > System > Control other devices".

    If the TV is powered all the way down, not just in a low power state that allows it to start up more quickly, then the Roku's "1-Touch play" can't start the TV up because the TV is all the way off and can't receive or respond to the command.

See if you can refresh the cec devices in the tv settings?
