Upgraded streaming stick has shorter cord, any ideas on getting a longer cord to reach power strip

I opened the box for my new streaming stick and much to my dismay the cord for the power source is about 6 inches shorter than the previous streaming stick. Any ideas on how to get a longer cord to the power strip on the floor?

      .. or even a short household extension cord between the power strip and the Roku's USB power adapter.

      But don't just replace the supplied USB cord that has the nodule in the middle with a longer plain USB cable.  That nodule contains the Roku Stick's WiFi receiver which is essential for the stick's oorration.
