The Roku device is being powered by the USB wall adapter that came with the Roku device. I tried a different USB adapter with a higher amp rating and the Roku still turns on by itself.
I moved it to another HDMI port and the Roku still turns itself on.
I moved the Roku to another TV in another room and the Roku still turns itself on.
The issue did NOT occur with the Roku Express HD that I had used on the same TV HDMI port previously.
I have/had the same problem on my older Visio TV and tried ALL the same recommendations – no luck. I found a setting on my TV – Settings >Channels & Inputs > HDMI Setting > TV Auto Power … I ensured it was OFF. Returned my TV to the Roku home, used the remote to turn off the TV. It’s been overnight, other than an occasional clicking sound, the TV has not turned back on.
