Thanks for the post.
Customers have reported that after unplugging the TV for 5-10 minutes then plugging it back in again, they were able to resolve the issue. Have you tried this method already?
Please keep us posted.
Thanks,
Danny
This is a common problem with TCL. Neither TCL nor Roku correct the problem. Would love to know if anyone has filed a class action suit against both companies?

Mine is having the black screen problem every time I turn it on too. I have to press the hard reset button on the side. Then it shows up just bright enough to setup the TV in the dark. Once I go though the setup, then do a system restart in the menu it seems to work fine. This seems like it could be a software issue.

That is not fix that temp fix to it just happens again.... cause roku is pushing updates that highly buggy.
Roku should not be expecting people to such thing on weekly or even daily basis, cause roku is gona drag the feet to fix issue that should never been there in first place if stuff was test proper.
And see ROKU OS runs multiple brands of tv that all have these same issue. ROKU should be doing much BETTER TESTING

I think we should report them to the Atty General or Consumer Protection Bureau in our State. There is no way they are not aware of the faulty product they're selling to consumers. This should be classified as malicious and exploitative. I wish I knew how to initiate a suit because I'd certainly move forward with it. The complaints online prove the manufacturer/developer(s) knowingly peddle these JUNK designs to the public.
