Subtitles always appear on live TV

When I'm watching "antenna" live TV on my Roku 50 inch smart TV, the closed captions continues to be set to "always on," even though I've already turned it off numerous times in the accessibility set...

    shawmanfromny, there's only one setting.  There isn't a separate setting for OTA vs. streaming and like makaiguy said, if you turn in on in some apps it turns it on globally.

My wife uses CC on Hulu and Netflix. Why would this affect the accessibility setting for live OTA channels? This never happens on my Samsung 70 inch smart TV.

shawmanfromny, there's only one setting.  There isn't a separate setting for OTA vs. streaming and like makaiguy said, if you turn in on in some apps it turns it on globally.
