Have you figured this out? This happened to us today. Search is just gone

Hi VSAL
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.
Please be advised that the 'Search' functionality is not available if you are using a Roku device linked to a Roku account created in a region in which we do not directly market or sell Roku devices, including Roku TVs.
Currently, it is only available in English in Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Mexico and the United States for Spanish.
For more information, you can visit this Support link: How do I find movies and TV shows using Roku® Search?
Let us know if you need further assistance.
All the best,

This happened to me today, too, and it was accompanied by (a) report of a software update, and (b) video instructions from Roku about using voice search. My TCL Roku TV does not support voice search. The video suggested using my phone, but I want to search on the tv so that I can just select the results. I don't want to search on a separate device and then have to search for the channels and search within the channels for the program. How can I de-update my software?

PS If you search this question, you often get an answer about having a Roku account in the right country. I made mine in the U.S.

My search option has been working and this is the first day it disappeared. Why is it happening to Roku TVs that have had the option before. It is the most used feature I use on the TV. If it is not available what is the advantage of buying another Roku TV?

Please just detailed answers when you tell us to go to our options and settings, because this keeps happening to everyone. My children and I need the search option. It's a very convenient thing as well as something's very important to them because they have immediate needs, educational shows that enjoy, fun shows they like, we can't look for them anymore. And you won't give a detailed answer as a how to fix it. Please more inquiry is required about this issue. Thank you very much.

If this happens all you have to do is press the microphone on your remote (it’s on the remote and the remote app) after pressing the microphone say whatever your looking for. You will then see “thinking” on your tv screen and the thing you searched will be up there as well as other things you may be interested in. Maybe I wasn’t detailed enough on the other reply hopefully this helps everyone

I posted this problem about a month ago, and I wanted to report how we fixed it. System update did not fix it (the problem started right after a system update). Also, as I said, my remote does not support voice search.
But I did go into settings and poke around, and I ultimately chose a new visual interface for the home screen. This seems to have rebooted my left-side menu options, and search came back. I know this is not a very detailed or satisfying explanation. The analogy I'd offer is to installing and uninstalling an app on your phone, or maybe hiding and then re-showing the toolbar in Microsoft Word. I'm convinced I "fixed" this just by getting the television to reorganize what it shows on the home screen, and nudging it back towards the default. Maybe another analogy (which will show how old I am), is banging the back of the tv when the channel was not coming in clearly.

I fixed it! Not sure if this would work for every but I went to Settings > Power > System restart. Once it restarted my "search" tab reappeared.

No microphone on remote.

They won't even reply or give details under their "Settings" option to fix this although it was advised to another to go to their settings on a thread.
