Roku won’t accept my password

I bought a Roku last year and I could not get the darned thing to connect to my Internet. It said I had the wrong password, which I did not. I checked it like 10 times.  So I took it back to the store and got me a Firestick.  Today. I went and bought another Roku, forgetting that I had had a problem last year.  Now, I have the exact same problem today and there isn’t any reason in the world why I should have to change my password because Roku refuses to fix this problem. Obviously, a lot of people have the exact same problem I do so why don’t you guys fix it instead of just giving us warm greetings!!! I should charge you for my gas and time for all this. I’m BEYOND DISSAPOINTED.

  • In theory, everyone should allow every character, but special characters have caused issues for so many devices that I have used over the years that I gave up on them long before I got a Roku.  Even one of the routers I had wouldn’t allow them.  You can find much about this on the internet.  For example, one router maker says: While Some Special Characters are allowed, it Is Not Recommended Due to compatibility issues with some smart devices such as smart cameras.
