Roku Ultra suddenly needing more memory, added 64GB card, not enough

Hello, I have a Roku Ultra which I ran for years without a Micro SD card with no problems.  Then suddenly the other day I found I couldn't run a single app without getting a "not enough memory" erro...

    Try doing a system restart or unplugging power to the Roku for 60 seconds to clear the cache and see if that helps.

    For specific apps, uninstall, system restart or unplug power, then reinstall and see if that helps.

    SD cards do go bad over time, sometimes without warning as does the memory used on the devices, so that is a possibility as well.

    Unplugging the power for 60 sec did the trick, so it looks as though I wasted my money on the 64 GB card. Ah well, it wasn't much, and the problem got solved.  Thanks much for the advice!

      Glad it worked.  It is always good to have a spare SD card as they can go bad over time without warning, especially if they are written to a lot.

    i started seeing this on 3 separate Roku tvs this week, different locations and apps being used, unplugging them for  1 0  seconds cleared the cache. but it makes no sense for the 3 to all foul up in the same week other than a software issue.

        my point was the software update caused the problem and the OP didnt realize this has nothing to do with an actual memory shortage so the sd card is irrelevant.
