Roku ultra has missing continue watching

The continue watching bar disappears from my Roku app. I have checked for updates, tried power cycling my Ultra (version 14.6)  and I have removed and re-installed the roku app. Do I need a new device or something? I enjoy Roku TV but this is driving me crazy.
