If the TV has standard VESA mounting holes in the back (most do), then something like this may work.

To me, that sounds like a 'no'; i.e., "The design doesn't have alternatives to the holes out at the perimeter, but, you may be able to use the holes designed for wall mounting for that purpose". Also, the fact that something as basic as this, which many people may obviously want to know, isn't mentioned along with the height and width of the panel, suggests that such alternative holes are not part of the design.

oldandcranky, can you point me to any TV that has this? As I've said, I've never seen one and I've had a lot of TVs.

Your comment reflects the problem. This basic info should be easily apparent just as is the height and width. On ALL brands. I guess it's because it might steer potential buyers away from that set and possibly from the brand. Not everyone wants to mount their TV on the wall. Obviously.
