Roku Streaming Stick doesn’t have Bluetooth?

We’ve had Roku(s) forever, in fact there are four in my vicinity, but I specifically bought a brand new Streaming Stick in order to use Bluetooth headphones.

I bought it because it’s on this list: https://support.roku.com/article/12210854415383

But “Remotes & devices” only shows “Remotes.” Anyone else have this problem? I’ve seen similar discussions but they’re mostly outdated.

  • Hi thereAmateur610!

We notice that you're trying to connect Bluetooth headphones to the new Roku Streaming Stick.

In the meantime, if you're looking to enjoy some private listening, we suggest using the headphone mode in the Roku mobile app. Connect it to your Roku device and pair your mobile phone with your Bluetooth headphones.

Hope this helps! Let us know if you need more info.

Unfortunately that Support article is incorrect (some incompetent untrained Roku employee recently edited the article and incorrectly added Streaming Sticks to the model support information, etc).

For player devices you'll need a recent Ultra model in order to get BT support:

    Ultra 2020 (4800), Ultra LT 2021 (4801), Ultra 2022 (4802), Ultra 2024 (4850)

(Otherwise you need one of the soundbar models or a TV...)
