Roku remote unable to hear me
Same story for me as the other frustrated users here. This seems apparently and issue with a Roku update pushed out. Like the others, it was working fine up to a while ago...can't pinpoint the date, ...

I have tried what you suggested many times and it just doesn't work. This just started two days ago. I've had this unit for a year or two.
After many trials and errors I have discovered exactly what the problem is. The remote is defunct. I swapped out everything with another TV set in the house and the second remote works fine. The remote itself is bad. Worn out. Throw it a bone. I need a new remote and I should not have to pay for it.

To send a private message:- Sign in to the community.
- Click the message count or envelope icon to go to your Private Messages Inbox.
- Click Compose New Message.
- Enter the recipient's name in the Send to area.
- Note: Depending on your role in the community, you might be able to send a message to a group of users based on their role or rank in the community. If so, you can choose a role or a rank.
- Enter the subject for the message in the Message Subject area.
- Type the reply in the Message Body editor.
- Click Send Message.
- You can look for the messages you've sent in the Sent tab.
