When we power on the Roku Ultra (and the TV), it opens in the Roku Channel to a cooking show that we have never watched and aren’t interested in watching.
Current solution is to delete the Roku Channel and when turning it back on, to cancel the installation of the Roku Channel as it opens. Much fewer steps, but not the desire.
Not happening on same device upstairs.
There have been 8 models released under the Ultra model name. My Ultra 4800 dies not exhibit this behaviour. What is your model number (shown via Settings/System/About)?

I deleted the Roku Channel twice and it seemed to stop. Then I reopened Roku last night and the Pluto App downloaded and opened a program. Deleted that and it hasn’t done it again (yet).
Do NOT use the OK/Select button to wake from sleep. For some screensavers, that may cause an ad showing to be activated.
You can use any key. I typically use one of the arrow keys.
