Roku Media Player is installed but tile not on home screen

I want to add the Roku Media Player app to the home screen on my Hisense Roku TV. When I try to add the app by searching for it, Roku finds the app and shows the "Open the app" button. That tells me that the app is installed. I can open the app and use it.

I went back to the search results and selected the Roku Media Player tile so that I can get the options to save it to the home screen, but the "* for Options" is greyed out as you can see the image capture. Without the app tile being on the home screen, I have to search for it every time to open the app. How to add the app to the home screen?

Some users have had luck finding it on the official Roku Mobile app and "Removing" it from there.  Then install it again using your RokuTV. (not from the online Streaming Store).

Otherwise, you can try using your Roku remote to enter a Channel Information Screen that will allow you to Remove the channel (Roku Media Player) and then, again, install it from your device.  Hopefully one of the two methods will make it visible on your Home Screen again. (pretty recent bug increasing in the last few weeks).

To use the Roku Remote method, go to your Home Screen and press Home at least 3x, then Up 2x, then left, right, left, right, left.  You should now be in a screen with installed channels in a text list.  Scroll down and find Roku Media Player.  Press Ok, then select Remove.  Press Home again to exit this screen,

Restart your RokuTV (Settings/System/Power/System Restart), and then Search for and install Roku Media Player.  Hopefully it shows up on your Home Screen now.

fenceride, complete the whole sequence of button presses while ignoring anything happening onscreen.  The whole sequence has to be completed within a short period of time.

It worked this time, after a couple of attempts earlier that did not give me the same outcome. Thank you!

On the Home screen of my Hisense Roku TV, when I press Home on my Roku remote, it goes to the menu on the left side of the screen. Pressing Home two more times does not change the selection on the screen. Next, when I press the Up button twice, it scrolls up to the Streaming Store item in the menu. On pressing Left, it does nothing. Next, on pressing Right, it goes to the Featured Roku Apps group of tiles. Continuing to press Left, Right, Left simply scrolls left and right in the Featured Roku Apps tiles. It does not bring up the text list of installed channels.

I logged into my Roku account on a computer and could see the installed channels, including the Roku Media Player. But, I don't see a Remove button there.
