Roku is displaying bouncing letters on the screen

My Roku stick is about two months old. I got it up the same time as I got a new TV. I have everything set up and have used it with no problems until all of a sudden. Now when I go to the HDMI port where the Roku is all I get are bouncing Roku letters. It won’t bring up my homepage. It won’t respond to anything on the remote. I have reset the stick  I have changed HDMI ports. I have had my cable provider reboot my Internet. I have put new batteries in the brand new remote. I am so frustrated. And I can’t get any help online with it. I hope someone can help me.

  • I ordered the power stick online, I don’t know how to return it. I can’t get anyone at Roku to talk to. I even took a video of what it’s doing. I am older and self-help technology is very difficult for me. But I really miss using my Roku. I was using it all the time until just the past few days.

    It is plugged into a new power strip. The configuration of the TV stand, the TV and the one outlet I have available doesn’t enable me to plug it into the wall.

      Give it a shot—try the stick on your other TVs and let us know if the issue continues. Also, could you please confirm when and where you purchased the Roku stick?

    Looks like you're having a problem with your Roku streaming stick. How are you powering it—plugged into a power strip or straight into the wall?

    I finally was able to speak to a person at Roku and eventually we got the problem resolved. I was so grateful for his attentiveness.
