New update states: we’ve (Roku) updated our DST. Select “agree” to these updated terms and to continue enjoying our products ( my purchased tv) and services.
I do t agree, and purchased this particular model over two years ago, and have read your new terms entirely. I can opt out in writing ONLY and unless I click “agree” on my currently OWNED product to your terms I cannot watch MY PURCHASED PRODUCT. Please explain yourselves and YOUR ACTIONS to hinder me from using my purchased product until you receive my “snail mail” opt out letter. MY tv Worked fine until you demanded I click YOUR NEW TERMS.

Attempted to access ROKU Support team twice. First wait was 24 minutes and then I got disconnected, second disconnect came a couple minutes in.
In my opinion; ROKU arbitrarily installed “new software” that completely violates the terms of purchase I previously agreed to, and unless I now agree to a “new deal” the “old deal” we all ( ROKU, TCL, and I) agreed to is no loner honored.- jmagg2 years agoChannel Surfer
Don't worry, support was useless anyway. After an hour, all they could say was the back end team was working on it. I suggest they get off their collective back ends and fix the problem. This awful implementation of the Dispute Resolution changes should be illegal.

That's nothing. If you lost your remote, you can't agree and your TV is still unusable.

There is a smart phone app that will work as a Roku remote.

So what do we do now? My Roku player is disabled so there’s no place to accept even the new terms because the Roku player won’t turn on at all to go no where on Roku

What do you mean by not turn on at all? A Roku player has no power switch. When it's plugged in, it's on. What do you see on your TV screen? If you unplug the Roku and plug it back in, do you see the Roku boot screen (the bouncing Roku logo)?
Again, there's nothing Roku could do to make your device not start up. Would you included what model Roku device you are using? How is it powered? Plugged into the wall or a USB port on the TV?

My Roku phone app gives control of my smart tv with a Roku stick back to me (it works fine) but shame on Roku for their dishonorable tactics.

I never received an update my tv just stopped connecting to the internet every time you revert to the home page on both of my devices. I have lost many hours of my life working on and stressing over something soo stupid that If this is not made right I wont only never buy Roku again, I'll devote my life to making sure no one else does and do whatever it takes to make their business suffer.
