Roku audio out of sync issue

I have a new to me Roku handheld with a plug-in jack for a headset. When watching a Roku channel with my wife I wear the headphones and she listens to the TV audio. I’m slightly hard of hearing. I have no problem selecting both the headphones and the TV audio by use of the volume control on the handheld. However the sound coming out of the headphones is out of sink with the audio coming out of the TV. This makes it impossible to wear the headphones with the TV audio playing. Previously I had a Roku handheld that also had a headphone Jack until I dropped it. Never had  a problem with the previous remote. It worked fine. Is there an app I can go to fix this or am I just stuck?

  • All Roku channels are out of sync when using both the wired headphones and the TV audio. I downloaded the Roku app and tried to sync the headphones with the TV audio but to no avail. As directed by the app I used the phone camera to try and sync the sound but believe this process is for a Bluetooth connection of which I do not have. Although the camera trick stated that I was successful in syncing the TV sound I believe that to be true only if I had a Bluetooth connection.

    Hey there!  Sounddog

We see that you've been experiencing issues with audio not in sync when using the Headphones mode via the Roku Voice Remote.

To help us narrow things down, could you share if all titles on a channel or device are affected? Also, does using the Roku Mobile App make any difference?

In the meantime, try visiting this link for additional fix tips!
