Yes. Please give the option to remove this. It's frustrating when companies force items on you. It's like taking away your freedom of choice. I really liked the Roku device before this. Now, idk.

it's bad enough that I can't control what ads show up ON THE HOME SCREEN for my kids to see, but then you're constantly adding things TO THE HOME SCREEN! Please stop.

dannyomo, I couldn't agree more about the "features" Roku keeps forcing on users, but while you can't prevent inappropriate ads from appearing, you can hide them after they do.

If I wanted channel 7 and other stuff on the top of my page, I would put it there.
I know that Roku is looking to make money when we subscribe to things; but let us decide what we want. I already purchased peacock. I don't need any of the NBC stuff in places where I don't want it.

Agreed with the others. Would like the option to turn this feature off. I'm fine with getting a popup saying a new feature is available, but having a disruptive feature pushed without a way to minimize its impact on the user experience is annoying at best and shows a lack of understanding of the audience.

Well, I really hate it, I cannot delete it or hide it.
So fix it so we have the option to hide it.
If Roku will not give us that option I'll get another vendors streaming device.

Do NOT want this on my home screen!

Agreed with all, please make this optional. Even beside the annoyance factor of an unwanted change, it's added additional button presses to get to everything I want (since it shifted down all of my channels by a row), breaking (in my case) years of muscle memory and generally making interactions more frustrating.

This is horrible REMOVE "On Now" immediately!

To clarify the problem: I have spent the time to customize my Roku home page to be simple and uncluttered, thus 'easy on the eye". This unwanted/un-asked for "on now" row is CLUTTER. To add insult to injury, the actual shows being pushed are **bleep** that I would never watch... (Good Morning America live stream????)

Mine seems to be gone as of last night. We’ll see what happens when I watch tonight on Roku 🤞

Seems to have disappeared from our new TCL. Thanks.

Suddenly appeared today and I hate it. The only thing I want on the right are the channels I will or might watch (ie - FULL CONTROL). I don’t mind having Live TV on the menu on the left as an option (and I can disable if I want), but I don’t give two flips about On Now.
I have it so I go right 1 to get to my most viewed app and this change forces an extra button press. Most annoying is it happened while the screen was blank and I was pre-navigating and got some BS news.
Never. Add. Something. New. BEFORE. Our. Customizable. Apps.
I wouldn’t even complain if it were after. I just scrolled and saw they also added “Browse” (don’t care about) & “Categories” (don’t care about). Just get rid of, let US get rid of, or move to the bottom “On Now” and any new **bleep** you want to add and I’ll be content.
[edit: also, oversensitive filter much? Just for something that rhymes with rap? Would you rather I call it what it is: garbage?]

So any update?
