Remote Pro 2: Buttons make clicking sound. Is this by design?

I just bought a remote pro ver. 2, and there is a lot to like about it.  One thing I do not like is the fact that I hear a "click" whenever I push a button.  For example...  Scrolling 1 by 1 through ...

    It is completely normal to hear a sound that can be described as a light click or tap. This sound is produced as a result of the contact underneath being pushed, which is the mechanism that enables the device to function properly.

    Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the clicking sound on your Roku remote. We understand your desire to modify this feature. At this time, we regret to inform you that the sound cannot be completely removed. However, you do have the option to customize the clicking sound. Simply navigate to Settings, scroll down to "Theme," then select "Sounds" to make your adjustments.

    My remote makes clicks and beeps that are definitely coming from the speakers, not the remote itself.  Like the keyclick sounds that you can turn on or off on your phone, except that I can't find a way to turn these off.  Annoying!  Is there really no way to mute the clicks???

        That was the first thing I tried, and was surprised that it did not seem to make any difference.

        As pointed out above by @renojim, this setting can be adjusted, or turned off entirely, at:
         
        Settings->Audio->Menu volume.  That worked for me.
