Remote only controls volume and on/off

I bought a Streaming Stick+ 5 weeks ago. Everything worked fine until a few days ago. I was watching the Roku channel and clicked to return to the home page and could not.  The remote now controls on...

    Could you please share with us the type of Roku remote you have? Is there a pairing button at the back of the remote? Have you tried changing the remote batteries?

I have the same issue. The power and volume works, but not the other controls. I've tried everything mentioned here but no cigar. I just ordered a free hdmi connector, so we'll see if that works. Any other suggestions will be much appreciated. Thank you.

It may be possible that this remote isn't fully paired with your Roku device. Please let me know what specific device this remote was paired to. Also, is this the remote that comes with it? If not, what specific remote is this?
