Thank you for the reply.
One problem is that the remotes both start flashing green from the second I put the batteries in. I then try to press for 5+ seconds (have tried varying intervals with no success) and it still will not pair. If I leave it for a while - the green battery compartment stops flashing. I then tried to press it - no luck.
What is weird is that they worked fine before. No other changes to the three other Rokus on my network. This is two streaming sticks with two previously linked and working remotes with fresh batteries.
I can’t get the serial number because I can’t get to the settings! And when plugged in neither streaming stick is showing up on my app.
Any other suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!!
Thanks for the update.
Please send me a PM with your Roku account email address, and include the serial number on the Roku device. I'll be able to assist you further from there.
Thanks,
Danny

My roku remote just stopped working for no reason. I cannot get it to pair. The second I reinsert the batteries the pairing light starts blinking but never pairs. I've tried rebooting the roku, holding the reset button etc. No luck. The reset button doesn't seem to do anything. Now what?

I am unable to pair my remote. All of the sudden the remotes for both roku devices just stopped working after years of no issues. Tried batteries, tried turning off the power to both the roku and remote, tried logging on through my phone to see if I can force it to pair, and nothing. I even tried to reset the whole roku device and it worked on one, but not the other. Any idea why this could be happening? I refuse to believe I just need to purchase a new remote and that will magically fix all the issues. Things don't just break at the same time like that.
Any help please?

I'm having this same problem as well. The remote just stopped working and won't re-pair, but it will control the TV volume. I replaced the batteries and pressed the pairing button, but the pairing light just flashes and it doesn't sync. I've navigated the Roku menu (using the Roku remote app on my Smartphone) to re-pair the remote, and no luck. I've used the Roku menu to check the Internet connection, and it is says it is connected with excellent signal strength.
I tried swearing at the Roku remote, but since it isn't voice activated, it just sat there.
Seriously, any ideas on what I can do?

Having the same issue. Just bought the R635 and when first powered on TV remote worked. When continuing with setup remote quit working. Tried all the methods including the one from tech support. Nothing. Light blinks green rapidly but will not pair at all. Had to download app I. It’s to use my TV. This is my first TCL purchase and right out of the box I’m having regrets. Is there a fix for this?????

I have the same problem. Green light always flashing with batteries installed. Won't pair. I have: Roku Stick 3810X and remote RC-AL7. I reset the stick by holding the button on the stick. The screen now shows; "Pair your remote', with three diagrams: 1. remote with cover sliding off. 2. finger holding pairing button and green stop watch reading ":05". 3. remote showing green light flashing. Help, please!

Yes. I followed the procedure several times. The only thing I have not been able to do is to use an hdmi extension cable, which I do not have. Since i did a hard reset, I no longer get the home page. The first screen is the language choice screen, which eventually, on its own, changes to the 'pair the remote" screen with the three diagram steps to pair remote. Can't get past that screen.
I also sent you a pm yesterday with serial number of the 3810X stick.
Thanks for responding. This is a real mystery.
