Remote making high pitched noise and is un-responsive

remote suddenly not working and any time batteries in … it makes a high pitched squeal. The remote is completely unresponsive, no flashing light on back with cover removed, holding down pairing butto...

If your remote is making a high-pitched noise and is unresponsive:

  1. Remove the batteries and wait a few minutes.
  2. Check for damage or corrosion in the battery compartment.
  3. Try new batteries.
  4. Reset the remote if it has a reset button.
  5. If the issue persists, contact support as the remote might need replacement.

    Well, actually, after re-inserting the batteries, rebooting the roku stick & repairing it with the remote, it seems to be working now. I think I just did this a couple nights ago, though, so I'll see if it continues to work. Thanks again.
